In late 2021, we launched AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery (AWS DRS), which is now the recommended service for disaster recovery on AWS.
AWS DRS is the next generation of CloudEndure Disaster RecoveryThe CloudEndure solution that enables the recovery or continuation of vital technology infrastructure and systems in case of a crippling event. (CEDR), offering features and operational benefits that are not available with CEDR, such as direct access from the AWS Management Console and seamless integration with AWS services.
As we announced in 2022, we will begin limiting the availability of CEDR in all AWS Regions. Note: AWS China Regions will continue to be supported. This will take place according to the following schedule:

In addition, AWS DRS continues to expand support for new AWS Regions. Refer to the AWS Regional Services List for the most up-to-date information on AWS RegionA Region denotes a geographical area (US east, EU west, etc.). Each Region has multiple, isolated locations known as Zones. Zones are isolated from one another, but Zones within the same Region are connected through low-latency links.
